SEITAI
Seitai is a Japanese therapy baised on the principles of Acupuncture, but using Acupressure with fingers and thumbs and sometimes elbows to stimulate the Acupoints, (Tsubo) instead of needles. This, combined with realigning the spine, by adjusting the vertebrae back into their correct position, gives a very complete treatment designed to bring the body back into its natural balance.
SEITAI can help with all sorts of pain, HEAD ACHES, MIGRAINES, NECK STIFFNESS, SHOULDER / ELBOW / HAND PAIN, BACK ACHE, LUMBAGO, HIP PAIN, KNEE PROBLEMS, SCIATICA.
The word setai means to "put the body in order”. In western terms it could be regarded as the homeostatic ability of the body to maintain health. The way this is achieved is through the individual strength and function of the organs and Musco skeletal System. In the east, and now more so in the west, the strength and interactions of the body’s organs are considered a major contributor to the maintenance of dynamic health.
Seitai works on the principle that lesions, which most commonly develop along the spine, force the body to compensate for the imbalance that has arisen because of it. This its the soft tissue under prolonged stress which in turn causes pain and inflammation in the affected area and disrupts the flow of chi. The pain may ease after some time encouraging us to feel cured, but the damage is still there. In fact the chronic state of the affected tissue grows continually deeper over time putting more stress on the affected area.
Seitai concentrates on restoring the circulation of chi (energy) and blood to the area. Problems manifest within the body’s musclo-skeletal system and can be corrected by means of pressure on the acupuncture points or Tsubo as they are known in Japan.
The techniques employed are a combination pf acupressure stimulation, soft tissue massage and adjustments to the spine designed to bring the body back to a state of harmony and equilibrium or SEITAI.
A lot of people only discover Seitai because they are in pain (as I did) even if you have no injuries a Seitai massage will work wonders for energy levels, relaxation and internal disturbance.

THE BRYAAR HOUSE CLINIC
ABOUT US
Established in 1994 by Colin Bond, Bryaar House provides therapeutic support primarily using Osteomyology. My discipline is Seitai- a Japanese word made of two Kanji, Sei meaning to put back in order, and Tai meaning the body. So Seitai literally means to put the body back as it was (in order). I learned this through my own personal experience when I had a motorbike accident in 1989 and needed help to put myself together again. I was amazed by the results, so much so that I decided to become a practitioner. Since then I have helped many people to 'put themselves back in order'. I also encourage people to learn Tai Chi to maintain a healthy body and mind. I run regular local sessions, privately either one to one or small groups (up to 4) and public classes weekly. I am also a musician and play locally with my band, DACODA, you can learn more about DACODA on facebook. I also collaborate with Dave Graham (Dacoda's Bass player) and we write our own songs under the name THE PALE TROJAN or ThePowndSownd. You can hear more on our Soundcloud or ReverbNation pages.
